Description:
The Needle-Type Housing Fiber-Optic Trace Oxygen Microsensor is a highly flexible, miniaturized optical chemical microsensor which is designed for all research
applications where a small tip size (140 μm) and a fast response time (t90 ≤ 15 s) are necessary.
Needle-type trace oxygen microsensors are ideal for measuring headspace and dissolved oxygen in containers where non-invasive measurements are not suitable. With this setup residual oxygen in tins with a headspace volume below 500 μL can be analyzed. The glass fiber with its trace oxygen-sensitive tip is protected by a stainless steel needle and can be extended out of the needle for measurement. As the sensor tip is sheltered inside the needle, it can easily be penetrated through a septum rubber or any other harsh material.
The standard length of the optical fiber cable is 5 m. If fiber lengths of more than 5 m (maximum 60 m) are required, please contact our service team.
Features:
• Measuring range: 0 % to 3 % oxygen saturation (0 – 1.1 mg/L)
• Limit of detection: 1 ppb dissolved oxygen (0.002 % oxygen saturation)
• Compatible to the oxygen meter Microx TX3 trace
• Tip diameter: flat broken tip, 140 μm
• Penetration probe for insertion into semisolids like sediments or biofilms
• Easy to handle and robust
• Sterilizable: hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), ethyl alcohol (EtOH), ethylene oxide (EtO)
• Not autoclavable
