Matterport will be announcing both the release of our newest AEC product offering - BIM files (Building Information Modeling), and the latest platform integration with AutoDesk® Revit® on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 6 AM PST. This new product offering converts a Matterport digital twin into an easy-to-use BIM file - commonly used in the architecture, engineering, and construction fields.

The release of BIM unites Matterport’s point cloud data and the Autodesk® platform by transforming any digital twin into an .RVT (and .DWG) file that can easily be imported into Autodesk’s® Revit® software. 

Matterport are excited to present 4 different product offerings for BIM:

1. Architecture: Base building architecture with dimensions

2. Interior Furniture: (Includes Architecture): Tables, seating, cabinets, appliances, and wall fixtures, etc.

3. MEP: (Includes Architecture): Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ducts, conduits, some pipes, some outlets

4. All Elements together (Architecture, Interior Furniture, and MEP)

With Matterport’s BIM File offering:

· Architects, engineers, and designers can conceptualize designs with a detailed understanding of the space in less time
